MILLIONAIRE FULL MOON MADNESS RETIRES TO TRANQUILITY FARM

(May 2008) Full Moon Madness, the veteran campaigner bred by Golden Eagle Farm and winner of $1,256,098 has retired at age 13 to Tranquility Farm. In a stellar career that spanned nearly eight years, Full Moon Madness ran 61 times, with 19 wins including the R K Kerlan Memorial Handicap twice, The Cal Cup Sprint, the Valiant Pete Handicap, and the Blaze O’ Brian Sprint. He placed 18 times and ran third 15 times for a total of 52 finishes in the money out of 61 starts.

Full Moon Madness was brought to Tranquility Farm for retirement by his ardent fan Shelly Kramer. Shelly had followed his career for many years and loved to visit Full Moon Madness while he was racing. Amazingly, Shelly was given her beloved Mooney for retirement earlier this year. Shelly plans to retrain Full Moon Madness as a riding horse when she is able to take on the responsibilities of ownership, but for now the old war horse is mightily enjoying his days of freedom in Tranquility Farm’s pastures.
