Tranquility Farm's Priscilla Clark to receive Award July 25, 2007-Midway, KY-The Officers and Board of Directors of Thoroughbred Charities of America, (“TCA”), have selected Priscilla Clark as recipient of the “TCA Industry Service Award” to be presented at the 18th Annual TCA Stallion Season and Art Auction on Nov. 30, 2007 at Keeneland. Ms. Clark is being honored for her outstanding work and lifelong commitment to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of Thoroughbreds at Tranquility Farm in California. Ms. Clark has bred and owned Thoroughbreds since 1983 and has always taken in injured or unwanted Thoroughbreds. Priscilla Clark is the President of Tranquility Farm, which began as the Harry A. Biszantz Memorial Center. In 1998 Cobra Farm owner Gary Biszantz approached Priscilla with a proposal, knowing her commitment to Thoroughbred retirement. He wanted to create a retired racehorse sanctuary on an abandoned farm in Tehachapi, California, as a memorial to his late father, Harry. Nine years later, there is a constant population of 100 horses in retraining or retirement from the racetrack, tended carefully by Priscilla Clark. The Award will be presented during the expansive TCA dinner at Keeneland, which includes a silent auction of art and live auction of several stallion seasons.
