Bakersfield:
Take 58 East from
Bakersfield. Tehachapi is about 36 miles east of Bakersfield. Exit at
148, the first Tehachapi
Exit. |
From Los
Angeles:
Take the 5
N. to the 14 to Lancaster.
Continue to
Mojave, take 58W. Approximately 20 miles to Tehachapi.
Take 148, the third exit. |
To Tranquility Farm from Freeway:
Take a right
at end of exit off-ramp and proceed straight to the first light.
Go straight and continue past Albertson’s to the second light.
This is Valley Blvd. (also Hwy. 202 W.). Turn right on Valley
Blvd and continue out of town approximately 5 miles on 202 W.
Look for a curve and a long down grade with an exit lane on the
right; the sign says “Bear Valley-Stallion Springs”. Turn right.
Go to 4- way stop and continue straight ahead. The road will
make two very sharp turns about a mile apart. After the second
curve continue to the next intersection and look for “Not a
Through Road” sign. The street is “Giraudo”, continue straight.
Go over a small hill and at the bottom there is a row of
mailboxes and a cross street,
“Pegasus”. Turn left on Pegasus. One quarter-mile on left side
you will see a large horse farm with gray barns and white
fences. Sign in front says “ Tranquility Farm”
Note: The farm is very
hard to find in the dark. If you are coming in at night please
call ahead and I will turn on lights or meet you if necessary.
