BROODMARE AND YEARLING ADOPTIONS

IMAGINE.......

…a promising young Thoroughbred all of your own, a colt or filly born with the athletic heritage and heart of the breed that will never know the stress of racing. We can offer you this rare opportunity because each year a number of surplus broodmares are donated to Tranquility Farm to find a new life outside of the racing industry.

The foals born at Tranquility Farm are gently taught from birth to be mannerly and trusting of people, and they are raised with the goal of maturing into sound and sane sporthorses. At every stage of their upbringing we prepare these babies with you, their future owner, in mind.

Our young Thoroughbreds and broodmares are available as sport and pleasure horses only.

KIOWA SQUAW, 1996 15.3 bay mare
by For Sure out of Mustard (Arg).

Kiowa Squaw is in foal to Affirmative and will have her baby in mid February of 2009. She is such a stout and solid mare that if she did not have TB papers she could easily be mistaken for a Quarterhorse. Her foal should have the same solid sprinting build of the dam and could be a superior athlete for the Western rider. Kiowa Squaw was very shy around people when she was first rescued, but with kind handling she has developed much more confidence and has excellent ground manners.

LEADING, 1991 16.2 hand mare
by Caucasus out of Mr. Leader's Sis.

Leading is in foal to Rahy's Quackerjack and will foal around May 1 of 2009. She is a very sweet mare and after foaling would be a very suitable pet for a family with children who would like a gentle, motherly horse in their home. Her foal should be big and beautiful and make a great future sporthorse.

Perfect Lure, 16 H 1998 Bay Mare.
This beautiful winning racemare with the kindest disposition is offered as a broodmare only; she is pasture sound but a previous racing injury would prevent serious training. Lure is ideal for the small breeder who wants a pet as well as a lovely broodmare; a kind word from you will make her day. She is already an experienced mother of 2 lovely foals, and has vetted clean and breeding sound for 2006.
